     Promoting taxation on the basis of fairness,  is as contradictory as promoting
screen doors on submarines,  to provide healthy fresh air for crew members.
Enforced taxation decreed by Caesar Augustus is not a voluntary context.  Joseph and
Mary did NOT  travel to Bethlehem to attend a FAIR while she was great with child.
Alleged “Fair” taxation does not respect individual decision that the tax is “unfair”.
Anyone who chooses to abstain,  and withhold tax contributions is confronted by
government enforcement officers.  FAIR vendors do not have such enforcement power.
A Star Trek episode depicted alien Cyborgs without individual minds or choices.
Only group choice was possible: each Cyborg was only a part of group consciousness.
“Society” does not choose,  each individual human chooses.  “Tax Fairness” is approval
by the Cyborg “Society”,  instead of individual choices.  This was a subtle,  but lethal
difference between the American Revolution of 1776  to gain Individual Rights,  and the
French Revolution of 1784  to gain Human Rights.  Many Frenchmen lost their heads
in guillotines because of this different understanding of the meaning of political Rights.
Voluntary agreement is an all-or-nothing issue when “Fair Taxes” are approved,  but only
“viciously unfair,  and perverted enemies of progress oppose Fair Taxes”,  it is said.

Social context of the FAIR event was Individual Choice by each person who chose
to bring goods and produce to trade.  An offer to trade is considered  Fair, or Unfair,
in context of the FAIR event.  Taxation is an Enforced context,  and is Just or Unjust.
     Justice is The Social Condition for human life:  Choosing,  and causality.  Justice is
achieved by peaceful social relations.  Choice and Consequences,  are violated by force.
Judicial,  legislative,  and government proceedings aim to define what is Just.  Justice is
enforced by sheriffs,  tax collection officers,  jailers,  and executioners.  Fraud and theft
use indirect force to steal what one has earned,  and violate individual right to choice.
Enforced arrest of violators is used to stop the use of force.  Taxation provides resources
to defend against foreign invaders and domestic criminals,  and resolve disputes in courts.
Taxation is a matter of enforced Justice.  Salvation Army or United Way contributions
are chosen and given as fair,  or withheld as un-fair.  Robin Hood provided benefits for
some people by robbing others;  including the unjust tax collector.  Robin Hood is elected
today by the democratic majority to tax a “fair share” from the minority.  This arrogant
scheme provides spoils for twenty voters from each tax victim of the Highwayman.

Wheel tax enthusiasts have formed an organization under the banner of  Tax Fairness.
A respected Knox County statesman has stepped forward to hold the bag as treasurer,
and may  “Parrot” the words of the party line.  The parrot only has the ability to imitate
and repeat sounds,  without understanding their meaning.  A parrot spokesman (or the
Geico lizard)  can speak emotionally reassuring words such as Fairness in Taxation,
Justice,  or Trade,  to distract attention from voluntary individual choices.  Credibility of
the spokesman is a disguise for the parrot,  and allows cutting corners in political circles.
     Modern dictionaries provide usage information,  rather than state the word’s origin
with an example of how it is used,  to reveal its meaning in context.  Words are defined
by essential attributes in specific, limited, context;  because all knowledge is contextual.
Coca-Cola glass bottles can be used to hammer small nails.  Dictionary information
reveals that  “Fairness”  is used as a government enforced hammer in attractive,  fair trials.
It is Un-Just to rob travelers on the “Right-Of-Way”  to buy votes.         [ R. O. Gant ]
